I wanted to experiment with pewter and creating new forms onto old pieces of jewellery. The organic metal shapes envelope, and seem to grow over, the conventional jewellery like a parasite. This project took on a life of its own, giving me very little control over the final form and appearance.
Materials: Old/found rings and brooch, modelling clay, pewter, quartz, citrine, amethyst, bugle beads, seed beads, pearl beads, gems, acrylic paint, glitter, nail varnish.
