Inspired by my porcelain, foam and pearl collection Organ Cake II, I wanted to translate these ideas into a precious ring. Sweet pink rubies and wobbly pearls erupt out of swirls and whirls of gold. I like to explore themes of excessive adornment, combining precious materials with playful shapes. I am drawn to imperfections; the irregularity of the pearl, the knotted gold, and celebrate imperfect beauty.
